Good Farming Practices

 Background info
Farming can be highly profitable if carried out using all appropriate practices. These include choice of a good location for the farm and type of crop to be grown, selection of good seed free from disease, good management of soil fertility, weeds and other agronomic care, and planting at the right time. However, with a multiplicity of crops that farmers are growing today, it is difficult to master all the necessary practices that are required for each crop. This page will provide links to information resources to help farmers understand what they should do inorder to maximise productivity of their investments in agriculture.

information contributed for publication should be well summarised, relevant and easy to garsp. technical terms should be simplified as approrpiate for a broad audience. Contact email: info@elewa.org with copy to sarah@elewa.org.
